The E-Scope ® Electronic Stethoscope utilizes modern electronic circuitry to amplify heart, breath and Korotkoff sounds so they become much easier to hear. The sound is pure and clean. Compared to acoustic stethoscopes, murmurs and faint blows are much more distinguishable.

The hearing aid must be programmed for Low Frequency at least 100Hz. Even at that a mechanical clicking will be heard. This is the speaker of the hearing aid being overpowered. Thus, Direct Audio Input is good for nurses aides and such.
But if it is for a Doctor to diagnose it is recommended they get a stethoscope with headphones. This will better allow them to hear the murmurs.
The E-Scope is easy to use. All controls are on the head of the stethoscope. The controls include:
- Volume Up
- Volume Down
- Heart or Breath Sounds frequency switch. (Heart sounds in the 20-1000 Hz range and breath sounds in the (70-2000 Hz range)
There is a timer that automatically shuts off the unit after 2 minutes. To reactivate the E-Scope simply press any control button on the head. Battery life is estimated for approximately 6 months using one off-the-shelf AAA battery (at 30 uses per day).
When used in a clinical situation, the E-Scope provides an excellent means for detecting sounds that are difficult to hear. For use during emergency procedures or where other noise makes hearing difficult, listening becomes much easier.
