The KA300 Monitor System provides an alert system for a
building or home's smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and severe
weather.
The system includes the Midland WR300 Emergency Alert Weather Radio which
features continuous 24-hour weather forecast and bulletin broadcast monitoring
from the National Weather Service channel. The weather alert radio also
incorporates the latest S.A.M.E. (Specific Area Message Encoding) technology,
providing you with invaluable early warning information about approaching severe
storms which may affect your area.
The radio can be programmed to monitor any of 30
different counties within your reception area. It has battery backup in the
event of a power outage (AA batteries not included). The AM/FM radio will
automatically end and switch to emergency mode when an alert warning is broadcast.
The system also includes the KA300 Alarm Monitor Receiver which
features a bright strobe and 95dB audible alarm. Wirelessly connect your home,
dormitory, hotel or other building with the included transmitter and bed shaker
receiver. The KA300TX transmitter attaches to the siren of a smoke detector
or carbon monoxide detector. The KBS300RX Bed Shaker Receiver may be placed
under a mattress for notification while sleeping. In the event of a power outage,
battery backup powers the audible alarm on the KA300 Alarm Monitor and the bed vibrator.
