Hi-Pro Box for hearing aid programming. GN Otometrics has launched a new generation of the HI-PRO programming interface. The new version, named HI-PRO USB, is both smaller and a more efficient device compared to its predecessor. The HI-PRO USB is fully backwards compatible with the old HI-PRO and can be used with already existing and installed fitting modules.

The HI-PRO USB has been developed by GN Otometrics in collaboration with the hearing instrument industry to provide hearing care professionals with a universal hardware interface for programming all types of hearing instruments, both digital and analogue.

Together with HIMSA's NOAH software, HI-PRO USB has evolved into the de facto industry standard for programming hearing instruments. In fact, the successful standardization of the HI-PRO USB hardware interface on a global scale throughout the hearing industry has helped drive the trend towards first programmable and later digital hearing instruments.
Measuring only 5.39” x 4.49” x 1.46” and with a built-in USB 2.0 connection, the HI-PRO USB is truly compact. The integrated USB means no Serial Converter and fewer cables since the HI-PRO is powered directly through the USB connection. Users will benefit from a slightly faster operation since they are no longer dependent on the speed of the Serial Port.
To program a hearing instrument, all you need is a PC with NOAH and HI-PRO USB installed, and the manufacturer's NOAH-based programming software. The HI-PRO is plugged directly into the PC due to the USB plug and has two DIN connectors for the hearing instrument programming cables (supplied by the individual manufacturers), one for each ear. Consequently, monaural or binaural fittings may be made with one or both hearing instruments in situ.
The hearing aid cables and hearing aid programming software is NOT included in the price. Nor is NOAH included.
