This is a kit that provides the tools necessary to remove and replace the tubing in your BTE hearing aids.
It includes extra thick tubing to prevent feedback from power hearing aids.
If your hearing loss is mild you may request thinner tubing.
Includes:
- Earmold Reamer Kit (HA380): Includes 4 sizes of drill bits. Removes old worn out tubing from all types of ear molds. Also removes foreign matter, dirt, etc from molds. Very durable, easy-grip wooden drill bit handle.
- Deluxe Tube Inserter (HH997) An ideal instrument for replacing old tubing in earmolds. Also used for insertion of straight or preformed tubing in new earmolds - simple to operate - comes complete with instructions.
- 4 Preformed tubes assembled with plastic tube lock and quilled end for easier insertion. You choose tubing diameter: #13 Standard, #13 Medium, #13Thick or #13 Extra thick. (All but #13 Standard is assembled with the plastic tube-Lock Plus. The 13 Standard is assembled using the metal ring.)
Tube Lock Plus is a new version of the popular metal tube lock system. This coupling system utilizes a plastic coupler with patented ridges to hold tubing in place without cement, yet allowing tubing replacement as needed.
These are best for silicone (soft) ear molds. For lucite or acrylic molds you might want to try the cement. Find it here: Lucite/Acrylic earmold cement
