frequency compensation controls! Volume adjustable from 40 dB to 120dB! Can
be used on a telephone, TV, radio or tape recorder.
The SPEECH ADJUST-A-TONE is
MORE than amplification. Six adjustable frequency ranges can adapt to each
person’s particular hearing loss and thus aid in speech discrimination as well
as amplification.
Hooking between the base and the handset of your
telephone, the Model 1693 amplifier enhances speech discrimination and clarity
by having six adjustable speech frequency bands from bass to treble. You may
thus tune this amplifier to compensate for your specific loss by increasing or
decreasing the output at each of the six frequencies. Listen with headphones,
neckloop, silhouette, cochlear implant adapter cord, or direct audio input.
Listening with both ears can make a critical difference.
It can be used with the old style carbon microphone
or the newer electret microphone equipped phone sets.
Most standard headphones with miniature stereo
phone plugs will work with this unit. Headphones need not be worn when the
device is used with the telephone, but may be beneficial in some
cases.

Has four jacks: One for TV, one for Telephone, a TV/Radio jack and one for a headphone.

- The telephone base is plugged into
the top left of device via modular phone line (included)
- Telephone handset/receiver is
plugged into the lower left of device
- Adjust VOLUME and FREQUENCIES.
(Order at
least one of the items listed below. Generally anything with a 3.5 mm plug will
work)
