TRANSMITTER: The Silent Call®
Smoke Detector is battery operated and is very simple to install When it detects a fire, it activates an
internal horn and also transmits a signal to any Silent Call® receiver within
100 feet . When combined with various combinations of receivers, alerting
devices and battery backup, it can provide 24 hour protection. The Silent Call®
smoke detector operates on 2 internal user-replaceable 9V batteries.
RECEIVER, Strobe (SideKick) : This
Shake-Up Receivers are designed as a single function receiver to alert a person
to a fire. When the Shakeup Receiver receives a fire signal from a Silent Call
transmitter, it activates the Side Kick Strobe alert. The Strobe remains
running for approximately three minutes or until the user presses the reset
button on the receiver.
Please note that these transmitters and receivers are un-supervised auxiliary devices to alert a deaf or deaf-blind person to a fire. Please check with your local fire marshall for specific requirements for your area. Specifications:
