| The Professional model and the
Global model perform the same conditioning function, with a combination of heat,
moving air, a charged desiccant, and a germicidal lamp. Personal preferences and
physical ability are your criteria for choosing one over the other. The Global is basically designed for
portability and versatility. Because it is smaller then the Professional model,
it's great for travel; however, a person with arthritis or limited manual
dexterity may not find it as easy to use as the Professioinal model. The
Professional model was specifically designed to require no grasping. A person
can open the drawer and simply scoop out the hearing aids. But the Global's
hinged lid, closing latch, and right-angled tray sides require a grasping
function.
Both the Professional and the Global
can accomodate multiple sets of hearing aids, from in-the-ear, behind-the-ear,
and BTE-CI's. The Professional model has a divided tray in the drying
compartment, which is ideal for multiple users. Body-worn processors require
more room, offerred by the single tray of the Global model.
Both models utilize the same Dry-Brik®
desiccant.
The Global model has an optional
worldwide power kit for international travel.
