Hearing Aid Tubing. Here we list several sizes of tubing. We offer preformed (shaped) because it minimizes push/pull on the earmold that can cause soreness. Some include the tubing-lock which helps keep tubing in place without the use of cement.
Tubing lock keeps the tubing in the earmold. This tube lock is best for soft ear molds. Use cement, instead of tube-lock, for acrylic, lucite and other hard earmolds. Most of the time though, friction is all that is needed to hold the tubing in.
If you find that after some time the tubing coms out of the mold easily, mostly likely it has stiffened and needs replacing.
Try our invisible and tinted tubes. Really blends in quite nice!
When the tubing starts to yellow and turn brittle it can cause painful abrasions. or other sorts of discomfort. Approximately every three months tubing ought to be changed. But only if it is yellowing and getting brittle or clogged with moisture.
