Dear Mr. Dickinson,
Please accept my sincere congratulations
on your receipt of the award for your outstanding efforts on the behalf of the
hearing-impaired.
Your dedication in educating people about
the rights and needs of the hearing impaired is truly admirable and deserving of
proper recognition.

Massachusetts Trial Court Dear Curtis,
Many thanks for helping us offer "FM"
training to Worcester County Court employees.
Having a knowledgable person in the
group took a lot of pressure off the "small group" aspect of the program. You
very capably familiarized court personnel with how to set up our new FM
systems.
Thanks again for your much appreciated
assistance.

Dear Mr. Dickinson
This is a quick note to say thank you for your great help in securing a better sound enhancement system for our church.
Two different companies have worked on our system, both big name system companies, and neither offered the systematic
troubleshooting analysis that you brought to us. Your work clearly showed someone who took a personal interest in seeing that our system worked properly. Believe me the next time we need services or new equipment we will call you first!
Thank you again for your time and dedication in making our church hearing accessible.

Mr. Dickinson, We would like to Thank
You very much for your expertise in helping us choose a Hearing Assistance
System for our church. It is FANTASTIC!!!
Our hearing impaired parishioners were a
little reluctant at first, but once they tried the individual receivers they
won't go to worship without them We have one woman that cries every Sunday
morning and keeps thanking the Trustees for getting the system. She said she can
now hear everything and didn't realize what she had been missing every
week.
Curtis, you are WONDERFUL!! We had spoken to other
people but you gave us the information and answers we were looking for. You
definitely are very informative and your great demonstration sold all of
us. We would strongly recommend the Hearing
Loss Help Company and Curtis Dickinson. He is very informative and professional
to deal with.
May God Bless You and all the people you
are able to help.

Wesley United Methodist Church. Worcester Ma 01608 Dear Curtis,
As program chairperson of the Golden
Agers of Wesley United Methodist Church in Worcester I would like to tell you
how much our members enjoyed your presentation on assisted hearing devices last
Tuesday afternoon.
Your explaining and then demonstrating
how various devices could help those with hearing losss was most convincing. I
know I heard you much better when I was using your FM system, and several others
told me they did too after having used some of your devices.
Several in our group told me how sincere
you were and how they felt that you were geuininely interested in them and
weren't "pushy" in your presentation. I know you evoked a lot of interest and
everyone felt good about having heard you.
Thank you for showing us that many
helpful options in addition to hearing aids are available for those with a
hearing loss.
Sincerely yours,

Mr. Curtis Dickinson,
I'm pleased to follow up your visit to

services and accessories which you have provided.
I got the definite feeling that you
understand the problems faced by our members who have a hearing loss. The
suggestions you have given are certainly valued.
We want to thank you for your prompt
response to our request for a house call and for the time you spent overhauling
our system and discussing the equipment with me. With all best regards,

Dear Trustee's
The Lord's Peace!
I write on behalf of Curtis Dickinson of
Hearing Loss help Company. We had Curtis put in a hearing assistive system in
our Church last year and it has made a remarkable difference. Originally, we
were going to do this only in the upstairs church. It worked so well we placed a
system in the lower church. Now I am speaking with Curtis about a portable
system to have for small group meetings.
Those who have hearing disabilities
don't want to bother us who have no hearing problems. When I made the hearing
devices available, more people felt they could participate. At funerals in
particular, we are able to offer the hard of hearing the opportunity to hear
everything that is said for their deceased loved ones. This would not have been
possible if it were not for the hearing assistive system.
We now have 10 receivers in both the
upper and lower churches. We plan to get 4 receivers for the portable device..
It truly pays to be attentive to the hearing impaired. They have so much to
offer--as does every child of God, and they become engaged when they can hear.
If you would like further input from me,
I would be glad to speak with you. I do not get any commission or discount from
Curtis. It just seems to me this is something that should be done. I an glad to
report that we have been able to influence the Town of Natick in having their
Town Hall system hooked up.
Thank you for your attention in this
matter. May you prosper in the peace and joy of the Lord.
Rev. Daniel P. Twomey
To Whom It may Concern,
St. Patrick Parish recently purchased a
Hearing Assistance System from Curtis Dickinson of hearing Loss help Company. It
is magnificent!
We purchased 10 receivers with headsets for our upper Church and 6 for our lower Chapel and hall. They worked so well and were so positively accepted, I ordered another four for our lower Chapel. The people who use them are greatly impressed and thankful. This is one of the best investments we have made since it has enabled more of our people to readily hear the Word of God and experience more fully being members of our worshiping community. Curtis was courteous and informative
when he came for a demonstration . He was able to install the system into our
present PA system with no problems. Curtis has been very professional and
solicitous with his follow-up calls and advice.
If you would like to have more of your people involved, I strongly recommend Curtis and the Hearing loss help Company. If you would like to call me for a more full reference, please feel free to do so. I will praise this system and Curtis to the skies. May you and all you serve prosper in the
peace of the Lord.

Well, I am finally finding a moment to
thank you for coming to the Senior Center back in July! I don't know where the
summer went so quickly. I hope the rest of your summer proved to be
pleasant.
I think your presentation and "hands-on"
demonstration was most helpful to the folks that attended. I'm so delighted to
hear that you even "converted" that one gentleman who was convinced that nothing
was going to help him. I have been sharing your information to others that come
to the Center who seem to have hearing issues, who seem excited to learn that
hearing aids are not the only option for them.
We finally started mailing out the
newsletter last month to each and every senior in town. I am excited as this
will hopefully be our greatest outreach tool to the older residents. I have
enclosed this months issue, which includes the information on the Self Help
Group at Southgate.
Keep up the great work on this much
needed service! I'm sure many folks are greatly indebted to you for broadening
their horizons with your knowledge on what's available to them.
Sincerely,

Jewish Community Housing for the Elderly, Auburndale, MA 02166 Dear Curtis,
I am writing to thank you for the Audio
Induction Loop System that you installed at Golda Meir House. It has been in use
for many months now. It is used by our hearing impaired tenants during the
literature reading sessions.
It was pleasing that you came right away
when there was a technical difficulty with the system. The problem was resolved
without any of the hard of hearing tenants having to be without the use of the
system.
Not only has it proven to be a
cost-effective way of enhancing the lives of our heard of hearing tenants, but
it also brings us into compliance with the intent of the Americans with
Disabilities Act in regard to the hard of hearing population.
I will enthusiastically recommend your
company and it's services to anyone interested about finding a solution for the
hard of hearing population.
Once again, thank you for providing a
solution for the hard of hearing tenants at Golda Meir house.
Sincerely,

Dear Curtis,
I would like to take this opportunity to
thank you for the Audio Loop System which you installed at the Golda Meir House
this past summer. This system is a tremendous aid and allows many of our hearing
impaired tenants to participate in activates such as our poetry reading
sessions.
Thus far it has proved to be a cost-effective way of enhancing the hearing quality for many of the tenants at Golda Meir House.
It was also pleasing to know how often
you came out to Golda Meir House while the system was being used to make sure
everything was done properly.
Once again, many thanks and continued
success in a very worthwhile enterprise.

Dear Curtis,
Please allow me to speak for all of us
who attended your presentation yesterday on Assistive Listening Systems and
Devices. As Home Health Care providers, our nurses continually come in contact
with either clients or family members who have some form of hearing loss. The
information you provided will be of great help. Many people who experience
hearing loss do not know where To go for help, and as you pointed out, making
phone calls to find this type of information is very difficult for them. In
addition, as monitors of home safety for our clients, their ability to be warned
by smoke and fire detectors is a concern of ours.
We really liked the fact that you were
so familiar with the various devices; you could clearly answer all our
questions. You know the advantages and disadvantages of each, and where to
obtain them and price ranges. You are providing a much needed service for the

Hi Curtis,
I just looked at your article about hearing aids and it was
just SUPER!!. I wish that I knew all of this before I purchased my first hearing
aid. The audiologist recommended that I get a digital CIC because I was young
and professional. This was one of the most costly mistakes that I have ever
made. Of course it doesn't have a T-coil and it's just plain too weak.
I think that some of the best things
that you mention are the specifics on T-oils (exactly what kind of T coil to ask
for) and the fact the feedback does not have to happen. I bet there are a lot of
people that think that it's just a part of hearing aid life and something that
they have to live with.
GREAT JOB! You should be proud of
yourself!<

Dear Mr. Dickinson,
My husband and I would like to thank you for your caring
approach in helping us to purchase a hearing enhancement system for our

The infra-red system has opened a new
world of listening pleasure for us since we're both hearing-impaired. The new
found clarity is most impressive.
You, personally, have been most
sensitive, to our needs, in examining and helping us adjust to the possibilities
the system offers. You have followed up, and proven to be most reliable and
responsible--refreshing in today's times.
I would certainly recommend both you,
personally, and the hearing system.
Many, many thanks.

It sure would be great if people that
were so scared and unsure of themselves when they were getting their first
hearing aids had this info. I hope the report gets wide publication. The funny
thing is, I felt like I had done some research before I made my first purchase
and yet, in hindsight I knew SO LITTLE!! I knew about analog and digital and
went along with the hype that digital (and smaller) must be better. I did not
know one thing about a crucial component of a HA: a T-coil. My audiologist later
told me that she doesn't even talk about T-coils and ALD'S to a person unless
they've lost at least 70% of their hearing. This sounds so amazing to me now,
that I wonder if I heard her right!

SUCH A WONDERFUL SENSATIONS!
Hey Curtis,
My Teletalker Telephone
arrived today and I L O V E it. Such a wonderful sensation to be able to hear with B O T H
ears at once.
The loopset allows that
and it really helps me understand on the telephone so much better.
I love the snazzy
features of the phone.
I love the tone dial
that allows me to adjust the tone and pitch. I find I hear much better when the low sounds
are diminished.
I love the way the
volume control goes off automatically so that when a normal hearing person uses the phone
his ears are not subjected to too much volume. And when I use the phone I just click on the amplifying button and wham the volume becomes adjustable immediately

"I can use the phone without
my hearing aids. Isn't that
amazing?" |
I love the flashing light because often I do not have my
hearing aids on and so that flashing light allows me to know the phone is
ringing. Otherwise I would have no way of knowing a call was coming in.And I
love the appearance of the Teletalker phone. My brother Richard is coming for a

ship another one out and have it here for his arrival? Thanks for the excellent service, Curtis. You are a good

A few months ago, after joining
SWC and beginning to learn about ALD's, I found out about Curtis and his very
informative website.I was still having a hard time understanding what device
complemented what other device and how they all worked together. I began
emailing Curtis with questions, and he always replied so promptly, making sure
that my questions were answered, and assuring me they were not 'stupid'
questions, although I kept apologizing for them anyway. He never ignored
an email, although I hadn't even bought anything yet. Then, I met Curtis at the
SWC convention in San Diego, filled with questions about ALD's and having
no idea what would be best for me, I attended his presentation, and
came away understanding a little more. Curtis has been patiently guiding me
through the process of purchasing my Pocket Talker, Neckloop, and
Tele-link. Now that I have them, I am working out the best ways to combine
them for my own hearing benefit. Curtis is STILL helping me, still
offering advice on different settings to try, for maximum
benefit.

Hi Curtis, I ended the research phase of buying my next two HAs. I am
now an almost three week old happy owner/user of two digital Siemens Prisma BTE
aids. The telecoil is there and there is a 'button' to touch for the program
that quiets the noisy area surrounding me. I can have another mode programmed in
as well but the need hasn't risen. This is the best
service I've had since my first HA back in 1980. The dispenser was wonderful in
explaining all about the aids, in working with me resolving any problems,
questions, etc. Of course, there is a huge cost difference here with digital vs
analog so perhaps he's trying extra hard - trying to reduce potential for
rejection and return of aids(grin)... Particulars: 30 day trial $150 re-stocking fee for
each aid returned. We took advantage of promo being
offered at the time. For each aid turned in (any kind) we received reduction of
$150 on each 'digital' aid purchased. Cost: $1995 each
less $150 There was supposed to be a $50 charge for each
mold. We convinced the dispenser to call in to region office for permission to
waive that fee. While visiting for a month in Yuma, AZ we
purchased these aids from National Hearing Center which operates offices out
of... Wal-Mart Super Center! Extra Benefits: As my
husband and I travel year round we will be able to go into any of the 75 HA
centers around the country for free service, program(s) can be adjusted, etc.
Carl and I thank you for answering
all our research questions posed to you. We were better informed buyers when we
made the jump in spending $4000 on such small items!

Dickinson's company; he's a longtime SWC member. I'd
simply forgotten about him when I lost my address book. So I got his e-mail addy
from another SWCer and asked for the URL: www.hearing-loss-help-co.com. The LPS-3 was listed! I e-mailed him,; Do you really, really
have these?; He fired right back, ;Sure I do;, and told
me how to order. Not only was he the only company; who had 'em, they were less
expensive than Nokia listed; them for, and WAY less than the LPS-1's listed at
the other company websites (so was his price for those).
The loopset arrived yesterday,
and with it (and the phone volume cranked all the way up) I can hear BETTER on
this phone than I have on ANY other phone for years!!!!! The loopset sends the
sound to both t-coils. It's great, I really can't believe it!
So the moral of this long-winded
story is, if you need to get a piece of equipment, don't be as thick-headed as I
was. Go first to one of us, to someone who USES these things, knows them well,
and stocks what we need! While I was searching for the loopset and surfing the
communications sites, I looked at prices for things on my wish list...Curtis's
prices are better across the board, and you can e-mail him and talk to him about
what you need. I could have saved myself five days of
frustration! hugs, Melissa CraigMJay@aol.com
Dear Curtis,
I was impressed with your
customer service. Not only you knew exactly what I need but also was able to get
me a better deal for a very high quailty patch cord. I also got it less than a
week. I certain will order all my hearing device need with your company. Thank
for made my day and treat me like a VIP. One happy customer,
Debbie Jones
For your information, Curtis -
Father Riley is a retired Catholic priest whose hearing has deteriorated badly
in the past five years. We were at dinner with him a few weeks ago, and he told
me that he could hardly watch TV anymore because it was so difficult for him to
hear what was being said. I checked his hearing aid and saw that he had a
T-coil, so I drove him to our house and sat him in front of the TV. When I
switched his hearing aid to the T-coil, he couldn't believe it. It was the same
reaction I got from my Dad several months earlier. I'll get that check in the
mail tonight.
Rick Yori RBYori@mcdermott.com
Dear Curtis,
I have received the Nokia Loopset
and would like to say that it works wonderfully. I can hear as well or better
with loopset as I can using my regular phone and T-coil. When I received it, I
tried it using my son's cell phone and was amazed. I then promptly went and
subscribed for a digital cell phone and couldn't be more satisfied. I retired my
old analog cell phone that I could use somewhat with my T-coil. I have a severe
to profound loss and this is another barrier that has diminished for me.
Thank You,

COMPLY SNAP TIPS (Disposable
earmolds)
Hi Curtis
My name is Hayley Austin, I hope
you remember my story...... I am the girl visiting Australia, and a dog chewed
up my earmoulds.....and my friend Bruce Hansen ordered some snap tips from you.
They arrived this morning and I'm
so pleased to be wearing my hearing aid again!
Thank you for sending them so
fast. They are like nothing I have ever seen before, and such a clever idea! the
sound i get from them is great too...I've been wearing it for about 4 hours
now....and am still getting used to the way it feels in my ear.....it is
certainly a lot less obvious than the traditional earmould i had......
In the package, there was the
pack of snap tips, the earmould tube, some brochures, and some samples of
oto-ease. Anyway, thanks again.....
Hayley Austin GRAFTON NSW 2460 AUSTRALIA
Dear Curtis, Many thanks for your prompt attention to my request for the
new type of hearing aid mold that I was looking for. Your advice and help was
greatly appreciated. My order was delivered in record time and it has proved to
be as comfortable as advertised.
It has been a pleasure dealing
with a company that clearly is interested in the welfare of their clients. I
will be seeking your advice about hearing aids in the near future.
Best Wishes Bill Derry 3001 NW 38th St Gainesville, Fl
Hi Curtis..... I think these Snap Tips are awesome ! I've
always had trouble with both the hard and soft type earmolds giving me
irritations and infections. I've never heard of these Snap Tips until they
started mentioning them on the Connect list, and even then I didn't understand
what they were all about......so......I started reading up on it at your site,
and finally ordered. I had had it with the other earmolds and all the bolony
that goes with it. I dont really have any questions or concerns ,
really.......everything is going just fine with them. Just wish I started using
them well before now. I'll be ordering more, soon. These are one thing that I
dont want to be without....lol..... Many thanks for helping, Linda

HATIS
Curtis,
I have been meaning to email you
to thank you for your help in getting me the HATIS Freedom Mach I which I
ordered a while ago. It is an amazing product that has truly enriched my life. I
haven't been able to listen to radio or TV audio for a few years but am now able
to do so by using the HATIS with the headphone output from my TV/Stereo/Tuner
sound system. (I can't understand all channels or most music but it is still
fantastic to hear the stations I can!) It also has enabled me to always be able
to communicate via phone when using the HATIS with a phone headset socket. Due
to a fluctuating hearing loss I previously never knew whether I would be able to
talk on the phone on any given day. Once again thanks for your help.
Best Regards, Gary Hahnert
Hello Curtis --
Yes, the HATIS Epic is here and
it is not only epic but also dramatic. The sound is crisp and clear and in an
altogether different category than holding a headphone up to a hearing aid
microphone. I plug it into my computer and listen to radio, music, or to mp3
"tapes" downloads of lectures. I love it! Do you realize I've been in the market
for this item for 10 years but neither my audiologists nor the available
literature could ever go beyond pointing or saying "yeah its somewhere out
there."
So thanks for the item and for
your wonderful hands-on personalized approach.

VACUUM
Curtis,
I wrote to
tell you how pleased I was with your courteous helpful service and with the Jodi
Hearing Aid Vacuum.p> The directions with the vacuum were easy to understand
( just as you said ) and the vacuum was easy to use. I was surprised at the
amount of wax it removed from my hearing aids. I use q-tips every day and try to
keep my ears wax free, but apparently it still accumulates in the hearing aids.
I noticed after the cleaning that I needed to turn down the volume control on my
TV, an indication that my hearing aids were "hearing" better afterwards.
Once again,
Curtis, thanks for everything. It is a pleasure doing business with someone who
has integrity.

DIRECTEAR
810
Curtis,
Got the
DirectEar 810 set the next day and Mom loves it (me too).
We tried
going the hearing aid route and she wasn't able to make them work for her (Mom
is 85 and losing a bit of her memory). TV watching is a tough activity for the
two of us to do together because she will crank up the volume until I am
uncomfortable being in the room (or even the next couple of rooms).
With the
DirectEars, she is ecstatic. She hears better than she has in years. The
fidelity is very good on these even for a normally hearing person. (I work in
audio and video and am critical of such things.) The stethoscope-style plugs
work a lot better than muff-style headphones in allowing you to still hear other
room sounds.
I appreciate
your prompt service and immediate response to my phone question before I placed
the order. Thanks for this follow-up as well.

HEARING AID BATTERIES
Curtis,
I am so pleased with the iCellTech batteries I
purchased from you. They are lasting several days longer than the Rayovac
batteries I used to purchase from my hearing provider; plus they are 1/2 the
cost! I can find absolutely no fault with them.
Years ago, I used to buy hearing batteries in bulk
from Radio Shack and the adhesive covers came off the majority of the batteries
long before I needed to use them making them useless. That has yet to happen
with your batteries.
Thank you for providing such a superior product.

Having a

Dear Mr.

This is a
quick note to say thank you for your great help in securing a better sound
enhancement system for our church. Two different companies have worked on our
system, both big name system companies, and neither offered the systematic
troubleshooting analysis that you brought to us. Your work clearly showed
someone who took a personal interest in seeing that our system worked properly.
Believe me the next time we need services or new equipment we will call you
first! Thank you again for your time and dedication in making our church hearing

Mr.
Dickinson, We would like to Thank You very much for your expertise in helping us
choose a Hearing Assistance System for our church. It is FANTASTIC!!!
Our hearing
impaired parishioners were a little reluctant at first, but once they tried the
individual receivers they won't go to worship without them We have one woman
that cries every Sunday morning and keeps thanking the Trustees for getting the
system. She said she can now hear everything and didn't realize what she had
been missing every week.
Curtis, you are
WONDERFUL!! We had spoken to other people but you gave us the information
and answers we were looking for. You definitely are very informative and your
great demonstration sold all of us.
We would
strongly recommend the Hearing Loss Help Company and Curtis Dickinson. He is
very informative and professional to deal with.
May God Bless

Dear Curtis,
As program
chairperson of the Golden Agers of Wesley United Methodist Church in Worcester I
would like to tell you how much our members enjoyed your presentation on
assisted hearing devices last Tuesday afternoon.
Your
explaining and then demonstrating how various devices could help those with
hearing losss was most convincing. I know I heard you much better when I was
using your FM system, and several others told me they did too after having used
some of your devices.
Several in
our group told me how sincere you were and how they felt that you were
geuininely interested in them and weren't "pushy" in your presentation. I know
you evoked a lot of interest and everyone felt good about having heard you.
Thank you for
showing us that many helpful options in addition to hearing aids are available
for those with a hearing loss.

Dear
Trustee's
The Lord's
Peace!
I write on
behalf of Curtis Dickinson of Hearing Loss help Company. We had Curtis put in a
hearing assistive system in our Church last year and it has made a remarkable
difference. Originally, we were going to do this only in the upstairs church. It
worked so well we placed a system in the lower church. Now I am speaking with
Curtis about a portable system to have for small group meetings.
Those who
have hearing disabilities don't want to bother us who have no hearing problems.
When I made the hearing devices available, more people felt they could
participate. At funerals in particular, we are able to offer the hard of hearing
the opportunity to hear everything that is said for their deceased loved ones.
This would not have been possible if it were not for the hearing assistive
system.
We now have
10 receivers in both the upper and lower churches. We plan to get 4 receivers
for the portable device.. It truly pays to be attentive to the hearing impaired.
They have so much to offer--as does every child of God, and they become engaged
when they can hear.
If you would
like further input from me, I would be glad to speak with you. I do not get any
commission or discount from Curtis. It just seems to me this is something that
should be done. I an glad to report that we have been able to influence the Town
of Natick in having their Town Hall system hooked up.
Thank you for
your attention in this matter. May you prosper in the peace and joy of the Lord.

To Whom It
may Concern,
St. Patrick
Parish recently purchased a Hearing Assistance System from Curtis Dickinson of
hearing Loss help Company. It is magnificent!
We purchased
10 receivers with headsets for our upper Church and 6 for our lower Chapel and
hall. They worked so well and were so positively accepted, I ordered another
four for our lower Chapel. The people who use them are greatly impressed and
thankful. This is one of the best
investments we have made since it has enabled more of our people to readily hear
the Word of God and experience more fully being members of our worshiping
community.
Curtis was
courteous and informative when he came for a demonstration . He was able to
install the system into our present PA system with no problems. Curtis has been
very professional and solicitous with his follow-up calls and advice.
If you would
like to have more of your people involved, I strongly recommend Curtis and the
Hearing loss help Company. If you would like to call me for a more full

will praise this system and Curtis to the skies.

Dear Curtis,
Well, I am
finally finding a moment to thank you for coming to the Senior Center back in
July! I don't know where the summer went so quickly. I hope the rest of your
summer proved to be pleasant.
I think your
presentation and "hands-on" demonstration was most helpful to the folks that
attended. I'm so delighted to hear that you even "converted" that one gentleman
who was convinced that nothing was going to help him. I have been sharing your
information to others that come to the Center who seem to have hearing issues,
who seem excited to learn that hearing aids are not the only option for them.
We finally
started mailing out the newsletter last month to each and every senior in town.
I am excited as this will hopefully be our greatest outreach tool to the older
residents. I have enclosed this months issue, which includes the information on
the Self Help Group at Southgate.
Keep up the
great work on this much needed service! I'm sure many folks are greatly indebted
to you for broadening their horizons with your knowledge on what's available to
them.

Dear Curtis,
I am writing
to thank you for the Audio Induction Loop System that you installed at Golda
Meir House. It has been in use for many months now. It is used by our hearing
impaired tenants during the literature reading sessions.
It was
pleasing that you came right away when there was a technical difficulty with the
system. The problem was resolved without any of the hard of hearing tenants
having to be without the use of the system.
Not only has
it proven to be a cost-effective way of enhancing the lives of our heard of
hearing tenants, but it also brings us into compliance with the intent of the
Americans with Disabilities Act in regard to the hard of hearing population.
I will
enthusiastically recommend your company and it's services to anyone interested
about finding a solution for the hard of hearing population.
Once again,
thank you for providing a solution for the hard of hearing tenants at Golda Meir
house.
Sincerely,

Dear Curtis,
I would like
to take this opportunity to thank you for the Audio Loop System which you
installed at the Golda Meir House this past summer. This system is a tremendous
aid and allows many of our hearing impaired tenants to participate in activates
such as our poetry reading sessions.
Thus far it has proved to be a cost-effective way of
enhancing the hearing quality for many of the tenants at Golda Meir House.
It was also
pleasing to know how often you came out to Golda Meir House while the system was
being used to make sure everything was done properly.
Once again,
many thanks and continued success in a very worthwhile enterprise.

pointed out, making phone calls to find this type of information is very
difficult for them. In addition, as monitors of home safety for our clients,
their ability to be warned by smoke and fire detectors is a concern of ours.

Hi Curtis,
I just looked at your article about
hearing aids and it was just SUPER!!. I wish that I knew all of this before I
purchased my first hearing aid. The audiologist recommended that I get a digital
CIC because I was young and professional. This was one of the most costly
mistakes that I have ever made. Of course it doesn't have a T-coil and it's just
plain too weak.
I think that
some of the best things that you mention are the specifics on T-oils (exactly
what kind of T coil to ask for) and the fact the feedback does not have to
happen. I bet there are a lot of people that think that it's just a part of
hearing aid life and something that they have to live with.
GREAT JOB!
You should be proud of yourself! --Claudia-

your caring approach in helping us to purchase a hearing enhancement system for

The infra-red
system has opened a new world of listening pleasure for us since we're both

You,
personally, have been most sensitive, to our needs, in examining and helping us
adjust to the possibilities the system offers. You have followed up, and proven
to be most reliable and responsible--refreshing in today's times.
I would
certainly recommend both you, personally, and the hearing system.

It sure would
be great if people that were so scared and unsure of themselves when they were
getting their first hearing aids had this info. I hope the report gets wide
publication. The funny thing is, I felt like I had done some research before I
made my first purchase and yet, in hindsight I knew SO LITTLE!! I knew about
analog and digital and went along with the hype that digital (and smaller) must
be better. I did not know one thing about a crucial component of a HA: a T-coil.
My audiologist later told me that she doesn't even talk about T-coils and ALD'S
to a person unless they've lost at least 70% of their hearing. This sounds so
amazing to me now, that I wonder if I heard her right!

something that would shake my pillow when my phone rang and thought it was an

I have a few
catalogs at home but they didn't have exactly what I wanted. I took a look at
the web site of Curtis and it was filled with a wealth of information! So I
thought I'd contact Curtis and maybe he'd know of such a device.

I was at wits end because anyone that I spoke to previously
didn't know what I was talking about and couldn't help me.Now I can use a
cellphone just like millions of other Americans and not be hampered due to my
"disability". You shipped me the Nokia Neckloop before you even got my check so
I could meet an ad deadline for the cellphone that I wanted to buy. When I tried
the loop out on a phone in the store I was literally amazed at the quality of my
hearing (Just like you said). Thanks again for being such a great resource and a
good merchant for an underserved population.

SUCH A WONDERFUL
SENSATIONS!
Hey
Curtis,
My
Teletalker Telephone arrived today and I L O V E it. Such a wonderful sensation
to be able to hear with B O T H ears at once.
The
loopset allows that and it really helps me understand on the telephone so much
better.
I
love the snazzy features of the phone.
I
love the tone dial that allows me to adjust the tone and pitch. I find I hear
much better when the low sounds are diminished.
I
love the way the volume control goes off automatically so that when a normal
hearing person uses the phone his ears are not subjected to too much volume. And
when I use the phone I just click on the amplifying button and wham the volume
becomes adjustable immediately.
|
"I can use the phone
without my hearing aids. Isn't that
amazing?" |
I love the flashing light because often I
do not have my hearing aids on and so that flashing light allows me to know the
phone is ringing. Otherwise I would have no way of knowing a call was coming
in.And I love the appearance of the Teletalker phone. My brother Richard is
coming for a visit April 28. I would love to have one for him too when he
arrives. Can you ship another one out and have it here for his arrival? Thanks for the excellent service, Curtis. You are a good
man.

A few months
ago, after joining SWC and beginning to learn about ALD's, I found out about
Curtis and his very informative website.I was still having a hard time
understanding what device complemented what other device and how they all worked
together. I began emailing Curtis with questions, and he always replied so
promptly, making sure that my questions were answered, and assuring me they were
not 'stupid' questions, although I kept apologizing for them anyway. He
never ignored an email, although I hadn't even bought anything yet. Then, I met
Curtis at the SWC convention in San Diego, filled with questions about
ALD's and having no idea what would be best for me, I attended his
presentation, and came away understanding a little more. Curtis has been
patiently guiding me through the process of purchasing my Pocket Talker,
Neckloop, and Tele-link. Now that I have them, I am working out the best
ways to combine them for my own hearing benefit. Curtis is STILL helping
me, still offering advice on different settings to try, for maximum
benefit.
Customer service with Curtis is the best, he doesn't
ignore you before you purchase or forget you after ("Editor: Yea, she sure is a
looker...impossible to forget! :)"....that's so important to me, and I know that
I won't look any further when I am ready to purchase again.Linda M. Binns San Diego, Ca

Hearing Aid Purchasing Guidelines Hi
Curtis,
Thank you for the
wonderful information. I found out more there than I did in my two days worth of
searching. I always thought (and no I am not a hearing aid wearer....not yet)
that the feedback was something you should expect. My dad's squealed all the
time. I always thought that meant it was working. LOL.... thanks, Karen
Hi Curtis,
I just looked at your article about
hearing aids and it was just SUPER!! I wish that I knew all of this before
I purchased my first hearing aid. The audiologist recommended that I get a
digital CIC because I was "young and professional". This was one of the most
costly mistakes that I have ever made. Of course it doesn't have a T-coil and
it's just plain too weak. I think that some of the best
things that you mention are the specifics on T-coils (exactly what kind of T
coil to ask for) and the fact the feedback does not have to happen. I bet there
are a lot of people that think that it's just a part of hearing aid life and
something that they have to live with. GREAT JOB! You
should be proud of yourself! Claudia--

SONIC BOOM Curtis
I have
received the the product on Thursday, yesterday I put everything together it
took less time putting it together than to remove the old one which had all the
wires cluttered. And yes the vibrator is strong enough to wake even the deeper
sleepers. I have never known that there was a way that you could use one
vibrator. I know you will have my repeated business. Thanks

Dear Curtis, You have been a life
saver. I'm so happy with the help you have given me in finding exactly
what I needed to get all my phone system lights flashing again. I realize
how many hours you must have spent finding exactly the right transmitter that
let me use all my other equipment.
That saved me a whole lot of
money! Having the equipment delivered on time with your support for
hooking it up sure helped me avoid missing business calls.
I got service at a reasonable
cost and in a timely manner that prescribed exactly what I needed.. and it was
done with a smile. What more could anyone ask for? You'll have
my repeat business!
Thanks! Malisa

CELLULAR PHONE ACCESSORIES
Hi Curtis, I looked at all the big communications company websites:
Harris, Hi-Tec, etc. All of them only had the LPS-1.. I
called the carrier company with the promotion, to see if I could get a 5100.
They didn't; use those phones; I could have the rate plan, but I'd have to buy
the phone (and the loopset), from someone else. (About $350 altogether! Yikes!)
Then I
remembered Curtis Dickinson's company; he's a longtime SWC member. I'd simply forgotten about him when I lost my address book.
So I got his e-mail addy from another SWCer and asked for the URL: www.hearing-loss-help-co.com. The LPS-3 was
listed! I e-mailed him,; Do you really, really have these?; He fired right back, ;Sure I do;, and told me how to order.
Not only was he the only company; who had 'em, they were less expensive than
Nokia listed; them for, and WAY less than the LPS-1's listed at the other
company websites (so was his price for those).
The loopset
arrived yesterday, and with it (and the phone volume cranked all the way up) I
can hear BETTER on this phone than I have on ANY other phone for years!!!!! The
loopset sends the sound to both t-coils. It's great, I really can't believe it!
So the moral
of this long-winded story is, if you need to get a piece of equipment, don't be
as thick-headed as I was. Go first to one of us, to someone who USES these
things, knows them well, and stocks what we need! While I was searching for the
loopset and surfing the communications sites, I looked at prices for things on
my wish list...Curtis's prices are better across the board, and you can e-mail
him and talk to him about what you need. I could have
saved myself five days of frustration! hugs, Melissa CraigMJay@aol.com
Dear Curtis,
I was
impressed with your customer service. Not only you knew exactly what I need but
also was able to get me a better deal for a very high quailty patch cord. I also
got it less than a week. I certain will order all my hearing device need with
your company. Thank for made my day and treat me like a VIP. One happy customer,

For your
information, Curtis - Father Riley is a retired Catholic priest whose hearing
has deteriorated badly in the past five years. We were at dinner with him a few
weeks ago, and he told me that he could hardly watch TV anymore because it was
so difficult for him to hear what was being said. I checked his hearing aid and
saw that he had a T-coil, so I drove him to our house and sat him in front of
the TV. When I switched his hearing aid to the T-coil, he couldn't believe it.
It was the same reaction I got from my Dad several months earlier. I'll get that
check in the mail tonight.
Rick Yori RBYori@mcdermott.com
Dear Curtis,
I have
received the Nokia Loopset and would like to say that it works wonderfully. I
can hear as well or better with loopset as I can using my regular phone and
T-coil. When I received it, I tried it using my son's cell phone and was amazed.
I then promptly went and subscribed for a digital cell phone and couldn't be
more satisfied. I retired my old analog cell phone that I could use somewhat
with my T-coil. I have a severe to profound loss and this is another barrier
that has diminished for me.
Thank You,

COMPLY SNAP TIPS (Disposable earmolds)
Hi Curtis
My name is
Hayley Austin, I hope you remember my story...... I am the girl visiting
Australia, and a dog chewed up my earmoulds.....and my friend Bruce Hansen
ordered some snap tips from you.
They arrived
this morning and I'm so pleased to be wearing my hearing aid again!
Thank you for
sending them so fast. They are like nothing I have ever seen before, and such a
clever idea! the sound i get from them is great too...I've been wearing it for
about 4 hours now....and am still getting used to the way it feels in my
ear.....it is certainly a lot less obvious than the traditional earmould i
had......
In the
package, there was the pack of snap tips, the earmould tube, some brochures, and
some samples of oto-ease. Anyway, thanks again.....

HATIS
Curtis,
I have been
meaning to email you to thank you for your help in getting me the HATIS Freedom
Mach I which I ordered a while ago. It is an amazing product that has truly
enriched my life. I haven't been able to listen to radio or TV audio for a few
years but am now able to do so by using the HATIS with the headphone output from
my TV/Stereo/Tuner sound system. (I can't understand all channels or most music
but it is still fantastic to hear the stations I can!) It also has enabled me to
always be able to communicate via phone when using the HATIS with a phone
headset socket. Due to a fluctuating hearing loss I previously never knew
whether I would be able to talk on the phone on any given day. Once again thanks
for your help.
Best
Regards, Gary Hahnert
Hello Curtis --
Yes, the
HATIS Epic is here and it is not only epic but also dramatic. The sound is crisp
and clear and in an altogether different category than holding a headphone up to
a hearing aid microphone. I plug it into my computer and listen to radio, music,
or to mp3 "tapes" downloads of lectures. I love it! Do you realize I've been in
the market for this item for 10 years but neither my audiologists nor the
available literature could ever go beyond pointing or saying "yeah its somewhere
out there."
So thanks for
the item and for your wonderful hands-on personalized approach.

VACUUM
Curtis,
I wrote to
tell you how pleased I was with your courteous helpful service and with the Jodi

HEARING AID
BATTERIES
Curtis,
I am so pleased with the iCellTech batteries I
purchased from you.

Hi Curtis and Friends -
Just wanted to drop a quick note to say THANK YOU so
much for the amazingly fast shipment of my recent order. Everything arrived
perfect. You are saving me several round trip visits of about 25 miles each to
the hearing aid dealer because of broken/cracked tubes. I have 2 hearing
impaired children - 17 and 12 (severe to profound bilateral sensori-neural
hearing impairment), and as you are undoubtedly aware - they cannot function
with hearing aids that are not working properly. It's really wonderful to be
able to do business with people who can relate on a personal level to the needs
of the hearing impaired community. I salute you and your company for all you do
- keep up the great work!
Very sincerely,
